Darlene O'Donnell's Tampa 3 Day Journal
Once again I am taking a fantastic journey to help raise funds for Breast Cancer. I will be walking 60+ miles in 3 days to help bring awareness to this horrible disease. Together with thousands of other caring walkers we will raise funds and awareness. WE CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT.
I am going to keep it simple this year. I'm not going to remind you of all the reasons that the battle against breast cancer is so very important to me. I won't bore you with exactly how many hours and how many miles I will be training to prepare for this event or how many people I'll be talking to about this cause. I'm not even going to go on and on about how much I need your help to reach my fundraising goal by September 16th! This year I am simply going to ask for your help, but not on my behalf. Instead I'm asking for your help on behalf of the estimated one million women and men that are currently walking around with undiagnosed breast cancer. I'm asking for your help on behalf of the 40,000 women and men that will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. I'm asking you to help on behalf of the friends and families of those that are currently battling this monster. And most importantly, I'm asking for your help on behalf of our children and grandchildren that should never have to live in fear of this disease-not now-not ever.
Research and support do not happen in a vacuum. It takes real money to continue the search for answers while supporting those in need right now.
